The background is a page entitled "Berliner Illustrierte Zirkus" (Nummer 5, 30. Januar 1941, 50. Jahrgang, Preis 20 Pfennig, Copyright 1941 by Deutscher Verlag, Berlin) where you can see Hitler (title: Der Führer. Eine Aufnahme, die bei einer der letzten Besprechungen gemacht wurde. Helmut Laux/ The Führer. A picture taken on one of the last interviews). Tin: Benedict Processed Peas that was made by the scotish firm United Canners Limited, Boston, Lincs.

Adverts Benedict Processed Peas found in the work of Waldmann date back from 1940s to early 1950s.
It is in the inspiration of Dadaist work where the artist makes fun of Hitler: his eyes are replaced by green peas and he has peas in his head.

Smith & Ritchie étaient installés à Edinburgh depuis 1853 et étaient des fournisseurs spécialisés dans l'industrie alimentaire.
Les publicités de Benedict Processed Peas que l'on retrouve dans les oeuvres de Waldmann date de la fin des années 1940 et début 1950.
Il s'agit d'une oeuvre d'inspiration dadaïste où l'artiste se moque d'Hitler.
Vu que cette ouevre est à mettre en rapport avec l'oeuvre 0952 et que nous avons identifié la tête de la femme ( issue du magazine Illustrated du 21/10/1950) dans ce collage , les 2 oeuvres datent donc de 1950 ou d'après.
